Fly fishing at Caddigat Lakes, Dixieland
… a fly fisherman's heaven

Building Caddigat Lakes on his Dixieland property was the dream of owner Rod Smith. Built primarily to support high quality brood stock for his trout farming business, the complex of nine lakes has been twenty five years in the making.

Dixieland now boasts the largest network of privately owned trout lakes on a single property on mainland Australia, featuring some of the best and most varied trout fishing available.

Situated in the New South Wales high country, Dixieland offers an alpine fishing experience, in a wild environment. Less than 2 hours from Canberra accessibility makes us an excellent choice for a weekend fishing trip or an extended fishing adventure. We can direct you to accommodation in the area.

Fly fishing is one of the region's greatest tourist attractions - experience it for yourself!
